Calamari Curry
Very popular Sri Lankan-style calamari dish cooked with coconut milk and selective ingredients. A unique flavor profile gives way to a delicious taste! Perfect with string hoppers or rice.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 oz White onion chopped
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seed
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seed
- 1/4 tsp Fenugreek Seed
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Meat curry powder
- 1/2 medium Tomato sliced
- 2 whole Pandan leaves
- 1 whole Curry leaves
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 8 oz Calamari rings defrosted (whole rings)
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Coconut milk (can or powder)
Instructions
- Add oil, onion and spices to pan on med heat
- Add tomato and mix
- Add curry leaves, pandan and salt and mix
- Add ginger-garlic paste and mix
- Add calamari and mix together for 2 mins
- Add water and let cook for 5 mins
- Add coconut milk
